Smart-phone curse: Lockups and restarts

Smart phones can seize up on users. Do they take too long to reboot?

It's bad enough, says ZDNet Executive Editor David Berlind, that smart phones are so much like PCs that they sometimes need to be rebooted. But add to that the intolerable time that must pass before a phone call can be made, and you've got one issue smart-phone makers need to address.
